Pastor Sonia Perez loves Jesus, making strangers friends, and seeing children and youth connect their head with their heart through experiential ministry. She was born and raised in Sacramento California and is the pastor for grades 5-8 at the Forest Lake Church. She believes in discipling youth from 0-99+ and challenges everyone to see youth as the church of today as well as of tomorrow. 

She has her Doctor of ministry in youth and young adults and her master of divinity with emphasis in youth ministry from Andrew’s University. Her B.A. is in Religious Studies and her minors are on English, History, and Psychology. 

Her mission is to teach youth to love God with all they have and to serve their family, their church, and their community.
