MISSION IMPURSEABLE

The Mission Impurseable purse campaign is back! Since its inception over 5 years ago, we have donated purses to women's shelter facilities filled with personal items to show compassion and encourage women during hard times that they are loved and not alone. Should you choose to accept this mission and participate, it would require that you give away a gently used purse(s) filled with personal items that homeless women can use to meet their daily personal needs. This gesture will serve as a tangible expression of God's love for them on Valentine's Day—a day that they may feel forgotten.

Ask your school, friends, neighbors, classmates, and family members to participate by also filling a purse(s) with the items listed by scanning the QR Code. When the purse is completed, please place your purse(s) in the containers provided at the Forest Lake Church or make arrangements for pick-up by texting your request and location to Pam at (407) 353-9013. This year our donations will benefit SALT Outreach, Inc. Ministry of Orlando Florida. To get the donations to the facility on time, we need to receive all donations by Saturday, February 10, 2024, for packaging, processing, and delivery on Sunday, February 11, 2024. THE GOAL FOR 2024 IS 150 PURSES.  By scanning the QR Code, you can access additional ways to participate, donate, volunteer, or earn volunteer hours for your school. The mission has started and 10 purses have already come in—leaving only 140 more purses to go. Will you join us in making a difference in someone's life and being the answer to someone's prayers today?

PRAYERS FOR STUDENTS

Do you have a passion for the spiritual lives of our students? High school can be a time of tremendous growth, but also anxiety. Every Wednesday, we write personalized notes (and add a cookie!)  to the high school students in our church to let them know they are loved, valued, and prayed for. Join us at 8:15 in the Connection Center off the main lobby to help. If you have a student who does not attend FLA that you would like us to send a note to, please contact Christina Algeo at calgeo79@gmail.com
