FOREST LAKE ACADEMY ALUMNI SABBATH

Forest Lake Academy is excited to extend an invitation to our esteemed alumni for the upcoming Alumni Sabbath, scheduled for November 4th, 2023. It's a time to reconnect with former classmates, teachers, and staff members, relive the moments that have shaped us, and forge new bonds that will carry us forward. This year, we will be honoring ALL classes. To register for the weekend events, including the complimentary lunch, please go to:https://forestlakeacademy.org/alumni.php . We are truly looking forward to reuniting with all our FLA alumni on the 4th of November!

URGENT NEED FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING

With rental rates being at an all-time high, the church office is getting frequent requests for affordable housing.

If you own a rental or know of someone with a home, apartment or even just a room for rent, please let us know ASAP.

Most renters are looking for something in the $600–$1200 range.

Email Debbie at dpinto@forestlakechurch.org and provide as much detail as possible. Thank you!!

SERVE

Passionate Heart Ministries: Looking for retired teachers who are willing to tutor students in our community! We meet afternoons twice a week.

If interested, please contact Myriam Cunningham at Myriam@passionheartfl.org.

PRAYERS FOR STUDENTS

Do you have a passion for the spiritual lives of our students? High school can be a time of tremendous growth, but also anxiety. Every Wednesday, we write personalized notes (and add a cookie!)  to the high school students in our church to let them know they are loved, valued, and prayed for. Join us at 8:15 in the Connection Center off the main lobby to help. If you have a student who does not attend FLA that you would like us to send a note to, please contact Christina Algeo at calgeo79@gmail.com

PRAYER REQUESTS

The Staff at Forest Lake Church is always praying for you, but if there are specific prayer requests you would like mentioned during our worship services, please contact the church office at (407) 869-0680.

DISASTER/HURRICANE RELIEF FUNDS

The Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has established one general account where members can donate for hurricanes and disasters. These funds are used to help the community and church members who find themselves in need after any disaster or a hurricane that occurs here in the state of Florida.  Members are encouraged to donate to this account as it can be used as soon as the need arises. There will be another account created with the name of each specific hurricane/disaster that occurs in the future, so that members can make specific donations if they prefer.

Ways to donate:

1. At the link below

2. Through your church’s Adventist Giving link – choose “Disaster/Hurricane Relief” under Conference/Union Offering

3. Directly to your church by cash or check
