Girls Volleyball Fundraiser

October 8, Doors open at 4:00 pm

You are invited to a special evening dedicated to celebrating courage, strength, and survival. We are excited to have Simona Lazinsk, former Mrs. Florida International, best-selling author, and breast cancer survivor as our guest speaker. Featuring FLEC Girls Varsity, FLA Girls JV, FLA Girls Varsity, and a special breast cancer awareness and survivor celebration. Over the last two years we have been able to donate over $11,000 to the cause because of the generosity of our community coming out to support this great event. Thank you!

 


COLLEGE FAIR

Adventist Universities and Colleges

October 9, 6:00-8:00 pm in the Forest Lake Academy gym. This event is open to parents and the community. Please join us for this great opportunity to learn more about what Adventist higher education has to offer.

SABBATH INTERCESSORY PRAYER

Join us every Saturday morning in Room 28 from 8–8:25 to pray for our church, ministries, and the people God is sending us! 


PRAYERS FOR STUDENTS

Do you have a passion for the spiritual lives of our students? High school can be a time of tremendous growth, but also anxiety. Every Wednesday, we write personalized notes (and add a cookie!)  to the high school students in our church to let them know they are loved, valued, and prayed for. Join us at 8:15 in the Connection Center off the main lobby to help. If you have a student who does not attend FLA that you would like us to send a note to, please contact Christina Algeo at calgeo79@gmail.com.

    FOR SINGLE PARENTS

    There aren’t many people who truly understand the unique challenges single parents face. You deeply desire to do what’s best for your kids, but sometimes it’s all you can do to survive from one day to the next. Single & Parenting is a special group that will bring hope to your life. We’d love for you to join us.

    Meets once a month on the 4th Sabbath 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

    Flex and Stretch

    Come join us to develop physical and spiritual strengths as we flow through the class with intentional focus on scripture and God’s grace, the leading of the Holy Spirit and the Wholeness of God. The exercise and stretching level is beginner to intermediate and participants should be able to go from a seating to a standing position. Please bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water for hydration.

PRISON MINISTRY

BIBLES for Local Inmates — We are collecting Bibles to share with inmates at the Orange County jail. If you have any lightly used or new Bibles please place them in the Container provided in the church lobby Connections Room. Preferred Bibles would have soft covers, newer versions such as NIV or NKJV, and larger size print. Thank you for your faithful support of the Prison Ministries activities.
